Actress Ankita Lokhande went through a lot of ups and downs during her journey in Bigg Boss 17. Having entered the show along with her husband Vicky Jain, they left their fans broken-hearted as their extreme fights became the highlight of the show. They were not only brutally mocked on social media by the netizens, but even the businessman’s mother Ranjana Jain started sharing two cents about the actress’ behaviour, which did not go down well with the netizens.
Now, days after the grand finale of the reality show, Ankita has finally opened up about her mother-in-law’s mean comments and harsh statements. During an interview with Galatta India, she spoke up about Ranjana Jain’s statements in the house and during media interactions. She stated how her mother-in-law never saw her son Vicky cry. This led to her feeling helpless as her son wept on the show. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, the 39-year-old actress went on to add, “Mummy ne Vicky ko kabhi rote hue nahi dekha nai hai. Toh jab vo rone laga toh mumma ko acha nai laga, Mummy na mere jaisi hai toh agr mera bacha bhi ho toh mai bhi aisi ho jaungi 'Ki kya hogya mere bache ko.' Kal ko mai bhi aisi rahungi. Mujhe lagta hai ki us moment mein unhone aisi cheeje boli. Mujhe hassi b aayi ki mumma kya kr rahi ho mai janti hoon unko. The Pavitra Rishta actress added that even her mother would have reacted the same way her mother-in-law did had she not stayed with them and witnessed their relationship. Ankita went on to state that whatever Vicky’s mother said to her was only out of love, revealing her in-laws might have a tough exterior but they are soft from the inside.
For the unaware, Munawar Faruqui won the 17th season of Bigg Boss. Not only did he take home the trophy, but he also won a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a brand-new Hyundai Creta. He had made the headlines after his ex-girlfriend Ayesha Khan entered the show and accused him of emotional manipulation and cheating. She even brought up Nazila Sitaishi, his ex who he was dating before her. The accusations made by the two women had left the viewers in shock.
